How does someone who was once a technique-obsessed, follower-of-strict-rules, only-dance-when-it’s-choreographed type of ballerina, later find the freedom to improvise in public streets and with strangers?

Hint: It wasn’t by thinking about it or journaling on it alone.

It was a process that happened through my body, through mentorship, through sisterhood, through much trial-and-error, failed attempts at hitting publish, and heart-thumping moments of stage fright.

In the last 10 years that I’ve been coaching women on all aspects of their health, bodies, art, and creativity, I’ve noticed that perfectionism is running rampant amongst us.

When women come to me feeling stuck, frustrated, and not being able to birth their creative ideas into reality, a big percentage of the time their inner Perfectionist is hard at work behind the scenes.

If you can relate, let’s unravel this together.

I’m hosting an intimate online workshop on how to dance through life and break through creative blocks, even when you’re a (recovering) perfectionist.

"Working with Jess has been a gentle, loving nudge towards my creative self-expression. I love the group calls and the sisterhood, allowing my whole self to be seen & embraced. The questions Jess asks--easily understated perhaps in their simplicity-- allow for the material to be easily digestible and translated into transformation. Thanks, Jess! You're contagious in your steadfast enthusiasm while not foregoing the depth!

Here's what I'm going to cover:

--> the subtle cues of lingering perfectionism that could be silently sabotaging your creative efforts (even if you’ve been part of the personal growth and self-help movement for a decade)

--> how to know when to publish/share/pull the trigger on a creative project (and when it actually needs more work or time for marination)

--> real life tools for embracing and dancing with your imperfections so that you can finally break through your creative blocks and start sharing your voice and your art

"Jess is an amazing guide.  She understood all my fears about making a living dancing, about being accepted, about being creatively stagnant, about giving value to my passion, about navigating through changes in my relationships because of choosing to live from the heart.  She has been through it and knew the exact words to say to keep me focused and creating as well as to be gentle with myself when I'm not feeling creative...to still be open to inspirations.  She understood the cycles creative artists go through and lovingly guided me through it.  I trusted her and valued her support and guidance. Here are some questions you might have...

Who’s leading this and why should I trust her?

Oh, hi! I’m Jess Grippo. Almost forgot to introduce myself. If you’re on this page, you probably know me already or have been referred here by someone who does. In addition to maintaining my own weekly blog, newsletter, and coaching business for 5 years and counting, I was a health coach and copywriter for a major women’s health brand for 7 years. I've created my own dance show, was a finalist in New York's Got Talent, delivered a TEDx talk, run a coaching and teaching practice, and I also regularly create and share my art: mostly dance videos and written things on Facebook and Instagram. I believe in practicing the art of self-expression and I love getting to combine all of this experience into a really powerful and effective way to help others get their voices out there, too.

HOW DOES THE VIDEO WORK? WILL I BE ABLE TO TALK TO YOU?

The video is conducted through Zoom, with a group of us all connected at once. And you will be encouraged to talk and share yourself through the process. That's how you're going to get the most from it. It will feel like you're here live with me.

FYI - This will be a SMALL group of people - mostly likely 25 or less - and everyone will be connected via video chat. You will have the opportunity for 1-1 support at some point if you desire it. This isn't one of those webinars that you tune into and take notes on - I WILL SEE YOU, TOO. Don't be scared. It will be fun and deeply transformative. It's having me as your personal coach and mentor for an hour. This is a really cheap way to do that. So just sign up already, ok? ;)

But I’m not a dancer - is that ok?

Yes, that’s totally ok! I personally will argue that everyone is a dancer, but we don’t have to get into that here. All you need is a desire and willingness to dance and move your body. You don’t need “training” or previous dance experience. There won’t be any fancy flip moves to learn, and I certainly won’t make you do anything you’re not comfortable with. The focus here is mostly on getting personal clarity and expressing yourself - dance and movement is one way we’ll get there.

Will there be a recording?

This is a live online workshop. It’s meant to be interactive. There will be time for live Q&A and personal coaching. It’s like signing up for something where you actually have to be in the room.

Thus, there will be no recording. (Let's be real... how often do you actually listen to recordings after the fact?!)

If you absolutely cannot make this time, but really really want something like this, email me asap and I can share other options. If there is enough demand, I will do it again.
